SUPER SIX If you are thinking of entering our Super Six league for the new season, please make sure you are registered and have submitted your first entry by 3.00pm on Saturday 6th August. BOWLS TOURNAMENT Senior Blades will be unable to hold their Annual Bowls Tournament in September 2022 WENTWORTH WOODHOUSE TRIP Sue Foster, our Excursions Officer, has arranged a ‘self-drive’ visit to Wentworth Woodhouse on Thursday 28th September, 2022. The admission time for this visit is 10.30am and the house tour lasts approximately 70 minutes and the price also includes admission to the gardens too. The cost is £15 per person and £7.50 for National Trust members. If anyone has transport issues, we could try to match up for lifts. AUGUST LUNCH Our August lunch will take place next Tuesday 9th August, when our entertainer will be Graham Anderson a Neil Diamond Tribute Act. CHANGE OF DATE FOR SEPTEMBER LUNCH Please note that the September lunch will now take place on Thursday 15th September, not Tuesday as usual. Our speaker at this lunch will be former player now turned radio pundit, Carl Asaba, who will be telling us about his path into professional football. MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS Members will be able to renew their memberships from the beginning of September. This year, as agreed at the Annual General Meeting, the cost of membership will be £6.
